Who are we?

María de los A. Pérez Monroig, PhD

Dr. María de los A. Pérez Monroig is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who gained her doctoral degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. During her postgraduate studies, she was granted a Scholarship for Academic Merit and Exceptional Achievements from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and served as a research assistant at the Psychological Research Institute (IPsi) of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Her clinical and research interests focus on aggression, which led her to carry out her doctoral dissertation on manifestations of violence experienced by a group of Puerto Rican women. She completed her clinical internship at Harbor Care Health and Wellness Center (Harbor Care) in New Hampshire, USA. Dr. María de los Ángeles has worked in psychotherapy with adults, children, and teenagers, oriented by an analytical theoretical framework. She has also served as a primary healthcare consultant and performs psychological assessments. She has offered courses at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo and currently collaborates as a Clinical Psychologist in the Mental Health and Anti-Addiction Services Administration (ASSMCA) in Puerto Rico, providing psychological services at community settings to adults with problematic substance use and other acute psychopathologies.

Who are we?

Corina Delfino Blanco, PhD

Dr. Corina Delfino Blanco is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. During her postgraduate studies, she received the Scholarship for Academic Merit and Exceptional Achievements from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. During this time, she also served as a research assistant at the Psychological Research Institute (IPsi) and as a teaching assistant at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Her clinical and research interests focus on attachment bonds between children and caregivers, which led her to carry out her doctoral dissertation, delving into the bond between minors from the Department of the Family and caregivers in contexts of institutional care. She completed her clinical internship at the Union of Dock Workers in Carolina, P.R., where she had the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide psychological services to dock workers and their families. She has provided individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, and she has also done psychological assessments.

Our clinic...

AndarEs Espacio Psicológico is a team of Licensed Clinical Psychologists that provide individual psychotherapy and psychological assessments for adults, teenagers, and children. AndarEs also offers professional training and consulting to colleagues in the field of psychology and to other professionals and entities. The clinic's objective is to provide psychological services supported by our profession's theoretical, clinical, and ethical rigor. Our space is located in the Ave. Jesús T. Piñero, on the first level of building #272 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. ​
